The Running Well Store is excited to announce that we now have our own apparel line! We are excited at the opportunity of building an apparel brand from the ground up in the Kansas City Metro! We are excited to have the basics in running equipment with fabrics that are technical and feel great.
What is the technology?
EcoTech is an environmentally sustainable material that we are proud to introduce in several of the clothing options we now carry. EcoTech is sourced entirely from repurposed plastic that is created in a highly rated and certified factory in Jiangsu, China. EcoTech comes from a modern petrochemical industry whose primary mission is to reduce waste and emission. The EcoTech fabric is rPET certified by Control Union Certifications and is manufactured using 70% less energy, and 75% less co2 than traditional polyester. In fact, each EcoTech garment is made from repurposing 6-10 plastic water bottles!
In addition to EcoTech you will find our clothing is also made from the most buttery fabric called Performance Tech. Performance tech is built for ultimate comfort and versatility providing plush softness with moisture-wicking performance. In addition to the power combination of soft and technical the fabric is quick-dry, 96% polyester, 5% spandex and UPF50 so you can wear it out on a run, to the gym or looking great in your TRWS Apparel.

EcoTech Short Sleeve
Meet TRWS Mission Guru Maria who says, “The TRWS EcoTech Short Sleeve is a love at first wear shirt! I have enjoyed wearing this true to size short sleeve for both runs and casual wear. This shirt is very comfortable, lightweight, and breathable making it an excellent choice for those hot summer runs. It’s also super soft making it a great option to wear for running errands around town with pair of joggers.”
This shirt is created to fit like a classic women’s t-shirt with lightweight cool performance feel, UPF50, moisture-wicking and high breathability to withstand those extreme Midwest summer heat waves. This fabric is made with environmentally sustainable, 100% rPET-certified, recycled polyester. EcoTech is designed to behave like polyester yet deliver exceptional comfort, durability and performance.
Performance Tech Tank and 7″ Bike Short
Lusia is a long-time TRWS Guru that has run in a wide number of events. She tried out the Performance Tech Tank and the Women’s 7″ bike shorts for a hot, humid Midwestern run. “The tank is super light, comfy and soft, like I didn’t even have anything on. It felt natural to my skin and best of all, it kept me dry while also being extremely soft.”
Lusia also said, “The best fact about the 7″ bike shorts are all the pockets!” These shorts are also buttery soft and light but also do a great job of holding you in where you need a little more compression. These shorts did no move on my 5-mile jog.”
Lusia wants to let everyone know that she felt “great in the outfit as it felt natural to the way she moves during her runs.
HydroTech Everyday Short
Ken, TRWS Guru at our Mission, KS location took the HydroTech Everyday Short out for a spin so that you can get the details on these great running bottoms. “From casual wear to race training these 2-in-1 shorts have me covered. The pockets can carry plenty whether it’s fuel for my runs or wallet and keys when I’m watching summer baseball. And last but not least, they look good.”
The HydroTech Everyday Short has a 7″ inseam that is lightweight, casual fit and versatile. These shorts are designed to be an all-purpose quick-dry short and a breathable liner that is ultra sweat wicking and functional.
Performance Tech Sweatshirt
Jacob is TRWS Mission GURU who was excited to try out the TRWS Performance Tech Sweatshirt.
“When I got my hands on the performance tech sweatshirt, I was looking for a “do-it-all” crewneck. It exceeded my expectations! I wear it as a long sleeve for running, the material is soft, stretchy, and moisture wicking. I also wear it casually as a crewneck, the color and texture make it easy to dress up or down. Our tech sweatshirt has quickly worked its way to being in my top rotation for both comfort and style. As a bonus, it has an embroidered patch repping TRWS!”
This sweatshirt is made to be simple, ultra-soft, have a standard crew neck fit, with an active stretch and minimal look. It is great for layering with your workout gear or running errands on the weekend.
EcoTech Strap Tank
This lightweight tank top is amazing on a hot summer day! The breathability is outstanding and it feels like you have nothing on at all! Even when this tank is wet the top feels weightless and airy and dries very quickly. I love that the sun protection is built and the straps on the back add a cute level of detail that makes it a cute piece for several occasions. I typically pair this tank top with the Brooks Dare Crossback Run Bra 2.0!

5″ Shorts Unlined
According to Ken, “These shorts are my new favorite shorts to wear when I work out. I love the fit and the fabric has the right amount of stretch for running or cross training. The shorts are also great as every day wear as they have the right amount of pocket space (I need pockets) and best of all, they look good.”
These shorts feature a 5″ inseam, without the liner so it is made for movement with a classic athleisure look. These bottoms have a 4-way stretch, breathable external shell with a back zipper pocket and two side-seem pockets. The breathable waistband will keep you cool on the warmest of summer days. These shorts are designed for running or hitting the gym.
