What is a Stride Analysis?
The Stride Analysis is a way of helping The Running Well Store’s FIT GURUs determine which shoe is best for you.
If you’re looking for a running shoe fitting near you, The Running Well Store can help.
To start the Stride Analysis process, we will talk to you about what activity you are currently involved in, what footwear you are currently wearing, any future aspirations or goals with running or walking, and any previous injuries.
What does a Stride Analysis look like?
Step 1
Step 1.
You will be greeted by a friendly face when you enter the store for your running shoe fitting. We will explain the entire process in further detail and get you on your way to a better fit.
Step 2
Step 2.
To begin your running shoe fitting at The Running Well Store, you will start in your stocking feet and we will ask you to run or walk on the treadmill for around 20 to 30 seconds. This will allow us to look at how you are landing, where on your foot you are landing, and for any misalignments biomechanically within the ankles or knees. We will record this information for analysis with you.
Step 3
Step 3.
Once we have finished recording your running or walking, we will show you a frame by frame replay of your movements. By looking at how you move, taking into consideration your running goals and any previous injuries, we can determine what type of shoe will suit you best.
Step 4
Step 4.
We use this stride analysis to ensure that we find the shoe that works best for you. Comfort is key, as well as sizing and the mileage you plan to run. At The Running Well Store we have a wide variety of running and walking shoes, from speed shoes to cushioned shoes to supportive footwear – there is something for everybody!
While you don’t need to book a stride analysis in advance, but please note that during peak times there may be a short wait.
Step 5
Step 5.
The Run Well Guarantee. Run, walk and work in your new shoes for 30 days. If you do not like them you can bring them back for an exchange or store credit.
