Tech tip: The Asics Sonicblast 2 has seen some big changes in this new update. It has a very familiar look, but under the hood it is quite different. Version two features a new midsole compound along with the now famous FFTurbo squared. The bottom layer, which splits it up, is now FF Blast Max. The same midsole compound in the Novablast 6. It now includes a trampoline pod as well, this being made of the same FFTurbo squared like it's older brother, the Novablast. The upper has seen some updates as well. It is a tad lighter and roomier. We recommend going down a half size. One big thing that has seen a change is the heel collar. Version one gave many runners some trouble on the heel, this new version is made to cause less rubbing. Gotta take care of those heels. Of course you can't forget the AstroPlate. This is where all the fun comes from right? ...right? It does use a PEBAX plate to make it a bit more rigid. However nothing will be as fun as that sweet sweet aTPU midsole of FFTurbo squared.
