Timp 6 vs Timp 5: what changed? The Timp 6 adds 1mm of stack (30mm), a roomier toe box and a more flexible, redesigned upper. It's a touch heavier, with the same EGO™ MAX foam and Vibram® Megagrip outsole.
Altra Timp vs Lone Peak: what's the difference? The Timp has more cushion (30mm of EGO™ MAX vs 25mm on the Lone Peak) and a slightly more secure Standard FootShape™. The Lone Peak is lower, roomier and more ground-connected.
Is the Timp good for Kansas City trails? Yes. The Megagrip outsole handles wet roots, rocky limestone and loose gravel well, and the extra cushion is welcome on longer runs at places like Swope, Shawnee Mission Park and Blue River.
