Is the Altra Solstice XT 3 good for lifting?
Yes. The flat 23mm zero drop EVA platform gives stable footing for squats and deadlifts, and the A-frame panel helps on lateral moves.
Can I run in the Solstice XT 3?
For short treadmill runs or warm-ups, yes. It's built for the gym and is heavier than Altra's road shoes, so pick an Escalante or Experience Flow for regular running.
Solstice XT 3 vs Solstice XT 2?
The XT 3 adds an A-frame quarter panel and new overlays for lateral stability, a more breathable mesh upper and a padded heel collar.
Does the Solstice XT 3 fit wide feet?
Generally yes. It uses Standard FootShape™ with a roomy, squared toe box. Narrow feet may find it a bit roomy.
