Altra Olympus 7 Mid Gtx Men's

The Altra Olympus 7 Mid GTX is a men's hiking boot built around 33mm of updated Altra EGO™ MAX foam, a roomy toe box and a waterproof, mid-height GORE-TEX® Invisible Fit upper.

Compared with the Olympus 6, the midsole moves from compression-molded EVA to EGO™ MAX foam. It also adds more Vibram® Megagrip coverage, a plusher tongue and collar, and improved lacing.

There is no rock plate. Protection comes from the 33mm of foam, so it smooths out gravel and roots but feels less locked-in on very technical terrain. It is not built for heavy packs or technical scrambling.

This boot may suit you if you want cushion and toe space with waterproof ankle coverage. If you like more ground feel, it may not be the right pick.
