GURU TIP: Lone Peak comfort in a hiking boot!
TECH TIP: Take everything people love about the Lone Peak and give it ankle coverage. The Altra Lone Peak Hiker 3 sits on a refreshed Altra EGO™ midsole with zero drop and the roomy Original FootShape™ toe box, so your toes can splay naturally mile after mile. A polyester mesh upper with suede overlays, a redesigned heel collar and a rubberized toe cap shrug off rocks and roots, while the MaxTrac™ outsole grips dirt, gravel and rocky trail. It's light for a boot and needs little to no break-in.
BUY THIS SHOE IF... you want trail-runner comfort with boot coverage for long days on foot.
DON'T BUY THIS SHOE IF... you need waterproofing (try the Lone Peak 9 WP Mid) or a stiff boot for heavy packs.
Is the Altra Lone Peak Hiker 3 waterproof?
No. The Hiker 3 is built to breathe for warm and dry hikes. For a waterproof Lone Peak boot, choose the Lone Peak 9 WP Mid.
Is the Lone Peak Hiker 3 zero drop?
Yes, it has a 0mm drop and 25mm of EGO™ cushion, the same platform feel as the Lone Peak trail runner.
Who is the Lone Peak Hiker 3 for?
Hikers who love the Lone Peak's wide toe box but want more ankle and debris coverage. If you have narrow feet or carry heavy loads on side-hills, try it on first.
