Is the Altra Lone Peak 9 zero drop?
Yes. The Lone Peak 9 has a 0mm heel-to-toe drop and 25mm of cushion, so your heel and forefoot sit level like they would barefoot. If you're coming from a traditional 8 to 12mm drop shoe, ease in with shorter runs and hikes for the first few weeks.
Does the Altra Lone Peak 9 come in wide?
Yes, this is the men's Wide (2E). It adds volume through the whole shoe on top of Altra's already roomy Original FootShape™, a great fit for wide feet, bunions, or feet that swell on long hikes.
Lone Peak 9 vs Lone Peak 9+?
The 9 uses Altra's MaxTrac™ outsole; the 9+ swaps in Vibram® Megagrip for more grip on wet rock and roots. Everything else is the same.
