description

$274.99 $349.99

This is the perfect watch for someone who wants more data about their running & to upgrade from the FR 45
There is nothing new on the Garmin FR 245M that hasn’t already been on other Garmin watches, they’ve just rolled some of the higher end features down to this watch but kept it affordable. For example, it now has the pulseox monitor previously only found in the Fenix series
No barometric altimeter, so it tracks steps but not stairs, and no Garmin Pay
It will give you basic running dynamics as in the FR 235, but can also give you more advanced running dynamics when paired with a Garmin RD Pod and certain chest straps
Holds 3.5 gigs of music, streaming available (Spotify), stores up to 500 songs on the watch
Tracks running, pool swimming, cycling, indoor rowing, elliptical, and more
PulseOx
Personalized training and recovery insight for smarter training decisions
Tracks VO2 max-the higher VO2 max, the higher you can expect to perform
Evaluates your exercise history, which let’s you know if you’re training productively, peaking, or overreaching
Access to Garmin Coach that features expert coaches and free training plans that adapt to your goals
Race Predictor
Measures Training Load-which measures your exercise volume from the last 7 days
Tracks cadence, stride length, ground contact time and balance, vertical oscillation, and vertical ratio-these measurements are key to understanding your form
Smartphone notifications
Menstrual Cycle tracking, this is wonderful feature for the ladies (this will be in all new Garmin watches)
New safety and tracking feature that makes it easy to share your location with chosen contacts in case you need assistance
Battery life: 7 days in smartwatch mode, up to 6 hours in GPS mode with music
